Interested in the space of the city of Skopje as a field for research, several years ago SCArS (Studio for Contemporary Architecture Skopje) has started extending its most common practice of engagement in architecture – design of buildings, into studying of other cultural processes that are shaping our contemporary urban environment. Motivated with the opportunity of re-reading and re-discovering the city from other perspectives, the main intention of the research study Invisible Skopje was set to review and summarize our current impressions of urban everyday life, focusing on the investigation of the places where this everyday life has been created, developed and shaped.
